We greet you, fellow seekers of knowledge in its infinite diversity.
We are several students of extraplanetary studies at the Science Academy.
We have observed your interest in what we presume to be our planet (which you
call Vulcan) and our culture. It is of interest to us how you have come by
some of you knowledge of "Vulcan", given that you planet is technologically
primitive and incapable of interstellar travel or communication.
For example, we are puzzled by the continued references to "Warp speeds" and
"Phasers" when it is evident that nothing of the type currently exists on
Earth. We are of the opinion that, logically, you must have some outside
source of such interplanetary information - a "Vulcan" perhaps? This might
conceivably explain your seeming familiarity with Surak and some of his 
teachings. 
We are also curious as to the identities of the individuals named Spock 
(purportedly half "Vulcan"/half human??) who is son of Sarek, since these
are obviously names of "Vulcan" origin.
We are uncertain whether we will be able to communicate again, due to the 
probably unsanctioned nature of our communication with your planet. If you
indeed have subspace capabilities previously unknown to us, you may attempt
to contact us on frequency: M4896.011.24-XSR-5640. If you attempt a reply
through your "network", it will only bounce between 248 satellites before
disappearing. There are enough such unclaimed messages in this region of
