A Note from the Author
Dear reader,
The following is a *slightly revised* version of my first-ever attempt at non-scientific writing. Great thanks to everyone who sent me comments (both positive and negative): Greywolf, Jacqueline, Marketa, Pat and all others-your input was most appreciated! I should mention that both a prequel ("Sanctuary") and a sequel (preliminary tittle: "Exceptions to the Rule") are in the works-as soon as my professional activities allow, I'll finish both and post them!
A short comment about the 'space-time' featured in this story: In recent years, several novels (for example "Crossover" by M.J. Friedman, "The Return" and "Avenger" by W. Shatner) have appeared that contradict the timeline of "my" Star Trek universe. Well, I don't care. Here is my version of what happened (or, rather, will happen)! As for the underlying subjects of reincarnation and apparent immortality-well, even some of the better Pocket Book ST novel authors have played with the idea, although perhaps not so openly... I can't say I believe in this myself, but I found the concepts quite fascinating...
"Together Again", as far as the contents and the story line, is mine alone. As goes for the Star Trek characters and the Star Trek universe in general, these are of course properties of Paramount Pictures Corporation and/or Viacom. I only used them for entertainment purposes, intending no infringement on their rights. In addition, I took the liberty of borrowing a character created by Diane Duane-it was while reading her great book "Doctor's Orders" that I got the initial idea for my story... If you're a TOS fan but aren't familiar with her books yet, go get them!
Finally, I am always looking forward to feedback-this is the only way I can improve! Suggestions and comments are most welcome to Margareta.Hellstrom@kosufy.lu.se.
