  The pictures above show Bewoket. He is a 12 year old Ethiopian boy from rural Gojjam Province who is suffering from severe rheumatic heart disease (mitral stenosis and regurgitation). He was abandoned by his family, collected food from the side of the road for 2 months and sold it until he had saved $2, and then rode on a bus for 2 days to Addis Ababa, the nation's capital.
